Where in the UK can I study the GDL?
You can study the GDL at The University of Law in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Chester, Exeter, Guildford, Leeds, Manchester or Reading (from September 2018).
Can I take the GDL online?
Yes, our supported online distance learning programme (with occasional attendance at our London Bloomsbury centre) for the GDL (i-GDL) is the perfect solution for candidates who aren’t able to commit to full-time on-campus study. With our i-GDL course, you are supported through your studies whenever and wherever you are, with personalised feedback from your University of Law tutor and unique i-tutorials and webinars.
How long does it take to apply?
The application process can require you to get a lot of information together, so it's always sensible to prepare as early as possible. This is particularly true for students who are seeking any kind of scholarship or financial aid. However, we are still accepting applications for our GDL September 2017 start, so hurry and apply now.
What funding can I get for studying in the UK?
Student loans are the most reliable source of funding for higher education, although scholarships and bursaries are also available to support students with particularly strong academic credentials or in financial need.
If you are an international student and therefore not eligible for UK government funding, you should contact your home country’s government or your local British Council office who will be able to provide you with details of the funding options available.
